Not surprisingly, this topic has stirred up some chit. Bigsby didn't start messing with guitars until 1948, and they were all semi-hollow. The six strings, anyway. He made a solid tenor.HOWEVER, It appears that a few Bakelite Selmer/ Rickenbacker Spanish Model B BOLT-ON (!) electric solid bodies DO pre-date the Slingerland. More soon on this…
